Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED · 31 JULY 2026

Ink collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads. Everything you write stays on your iPhone.

What Ink stores, and where

Ink keeps your birth year, your weekly entries (a sentence, a rating and any photos you attach), your goals and your settings in the app's own private storage on your device. This data is never transmitted anywhere. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.

Photos

When you attach a photo to a week, iOS asks your permission and you pick that specific photo. Ink copies it into its private storage so the memory survives even if you later delete the original. Photos are never uploaded, analysed or shared.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Ink schedules a weekly check-in reminder locally on your device. No push server is involved and no notification data leaves your phone.

Widgets

The home-screen and lock-screen widgets read your birth year from a private storage area shared between Ink and its widget, entirely on-device, so they can draw the grid and tick a square each week.

Data we collect

Third parties

Ink does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or trackers, and shares no data with anyone.

This website

This site is a plain, static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, shows no ads, and has no sign-up form, mailing list or contact form, so there is nothing for it to collect. Your browser loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for those font files; nothing else on the page is fetched from anyone else. The only way to contact us is by email, and we use your address solely to reply to you.

Deleting your data

Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it permanently. There is no copy anywhere else and nothing to request from us.

Children

Ink is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
